The goal of this site is to provide people with a place to get in touch with and track down lost friends, make connections, and contribute to an online community. Coming down the road we’ll be able to have any alum post content and pictures on the site to share with the rest of the community.

Also, you can now link to your Friendster or MySpace profiles. I know how everyone is addicted to those sites. Also, if you add a MySpace URL, we can use your MySpace image on this site.

HARTFORD, May 29 (nytimes.com) — Ned Lamont has already shown that his candidacy should be taken seriously. On May 19, a third of the delegates to the Democratic state convention voted to endorse him instead of Senator Joseph I. Lieberman. Now, with just over two months until he faces the senator in the Aug. 8 primary, Mr. Lamont hopes to defy polls, political experts and the calendar and win the nomination. To do so, he must greatly expand on the support he has won for voicing opposition to Senator Lieberman's support for President Bush on key aspects of the war in Iraq. Mr. Lamont's skills as a campaigner, some political observers say, are critical to accomplishing his goal. They cite his high energy, his sharp wit and his knowledge of issues, and his ability to convince voters that he is a legitimate challenger. His great wealth and his willingness to use it also cannot hurt.

Every five years, each Exeter class hosts a reunion on campus. These events culminate a year or more of planning by classmates and the alumni/ae affairs office and include informal and formal gatherings, family activities, music, meals and plenty of time to reconnect with old friends and discover new ones. A supervised children's program is available during certain reunion weekends. Check the schedule below or the events calendar to see the most current reunion dates. Author Brown back in court for Da Vinci Code case [Read]

LONDON (Reuters) - A historian accused author Dan Brown on Tuesday of lifting material wholesale from his book when he wrote his bestseller "The Da Vinci Code." Michael Baigent, one of two historians suing Brown's British publisher Random House for copyright infringement, took the witness stand at London's High Court in a closely watched case that could change the way writers research their work. He is making the claim with Richard Leigh, a co-author of the 1982 book "The Holy Blood, and the Holy Grail," which, like The Da Vinci Code, explores the idea that Jesus married Mary Magdalene and had a child by her.


PEA finds a better way [Read]

EXETER - Following the lead of Harvard, Princeton and other colleges and universities in making their educations more affordable, Phillips Exeter Academy announced this week that it would eliminate student loans as part of its financial aid program, replacing them with outright grants. At the same time, the school announced a significant increase in the percentage of students who will receive scholarship aid. The bold initiative means that, starting next year, Exeter will be able to offer financial assistance to almost 40 percent of its students.
